Tau House provides a supportive and therapeutically structured environment for women recovering from group therapy, and education and guidance in practical life skills. They also learn about nutrition, parenting and relapse prevention. Tau House staff coordinates with supplemental legal, physical and mental health services and offers discharge and after care planning.
Working together, the staff and residents create relationships that help women achieve a healthy lifestyle.
Creating Structure
The residents of Tau House are required:
- To remain clean and sober
- To obtain and maintain employment
- To pay weekly room and board
- To contribute to the daily operation of the facility
- To participate in all program activities and outside community meetings of AA, NA or CDA
Women who are 18 and older may qualify to participate in the program if they have successfully completed a chemical dependency program, are employable, and agree to commit to the program for at least 3 months.
